Cherry Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. light cream
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. finely chopped candied cherries
    few drops cherry flavoring
    1 lb. dipping chocolate or confectioners coating
Preparation
    Butter the sides of a heavy, 2-quart saucepan.
    In pan, combine sugar, water, cream and corn syrup.
    Cook over medium-high heat to boiling, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to dissolve sugar.
    This should take 5 to 6 minutes.
    Avoid splashing mixture on sides of pan.
