Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak
12 oz. can stewed tomatoes
3 large carrots, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Cut steak into serving size pieces and dredge in mixture of flour, mustard, salt and pepper.
Hammer meat and brown in a large skillet.
Add the tomatoes and layer onion, carrots and green pepper over meat.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce over the top of the vegetables. Cover tightly, lower temperature to low-medium and cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
