Fairy Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    12 dates, chopped
    1/2 c. pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    14 saltine crackers, crushed fine
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff. Add next 4 ingredients, then crackers and mix well.
    Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve with ice cream or
    Cool Whip.
