Chicken And Wild Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain and wild rice
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 1/2 c. chopped cooked chicken
    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. pimento, chopped
    1/4 c. slivered almonds, lightly toasted
Preparation
    Prepare the rice according to instructions on package; set aside.
    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
    Add flour, stirring until smooth.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
    Combine sauce, rice, chicken, mushrooms, green pepper and pimento.
    Pour into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Refrigerate several hours. Remove from refrigerator; let stand 30 minutes.
    Remove cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
