Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. 1 Kings 4:22
    few grains of Leviticus 2:13
    3 tsp. 2 Chronicles 9:9
    1 c. Judges 5:25, softened
    2 tsp. Amos 4:5
    2 c. Jeremiah 6:20
    6 large Jeremiah 17:11
    2 Tbsp. 1 Samuel 14:25
    1/2 c. Judges 4:19
    2 c. Nahum 3:12, cut up
    2 c. coarsely chopped unblanched Numbers 17:8
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with unsalted shortening.
    Sift flour with salt, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg.
    In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter at medium speed until creamy.
    Add sugar 1/3 cup at a time, beating well after each addition and scraping the sides of the bowl often.
    Reduce speed to low, mix in honey and then add sifted dry ingredients 1/3 cup at a time, alternating with the milk.
    Stir in figs and almonds.
    Pour batter in prepared pan.
    Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
    Turn cake on wire rack and cool.
