Best Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 green cabbage
    1 small red cabbage
    1 large onion
    1 large green pepper
    1 small jar pimento
    1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. celery seed (optional)
    1/2 tsp. turmeric (optional)
Preparation
    Chop or shred fine the cabbages, onion and green pepper; set aside.
    In saucepan, combine other ingredients.
    Bring to a boil. Pour over vegetables.
    Let stand overnight or minimum 12 hours. Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator.
