Baked Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. chocolate
    1/4 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/3 c. butter
Preparation
    Cut chocolate into pieces in a small saucepan; add milk.
    Stir and cook over low flame until a smooth thick paste is formed. Beat the eggs; add the sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved in the eggs.
    Cool the chocolate paste; then add it to the egg and sugar mixture.
    Measure the flour after sifting once.
    Add the salt and sift again into the first mixture.
    Add vanilla and chopped nuts; stir well.
    Melt butter and add to the other ingredients.
    Beat well and then turn into a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cool and cut into squares.
    Makes about 16 squares.
