Crunch 'N Crackle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/4 c. 100% natural cereal (wheat, corn, rice or other \"crunchy\" cereal)
Preparation
    In heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, water and corn syrup.
    Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook, stirring often, over medium heat to hard crack (300\u00b0) or until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into threads which are hard and brittle.
    Remove immediately.
    Stir in butter, soda, almond extract and cereal.
