Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. soda
3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk

Preparation

Sift all-purpose flour, soda and salt together. Cream margarine, shortening, sugar and vanilla flavoring together. Mix thoroughly. Add egg. Cream until mixture is fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients until mixture is smooth. Blend in 2 tablespoons milk. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of water glass which has been dipped in sugar (may have to wet bottom of glass). Bake at 400\u00b0 about 12 minutes or until done.
