Bay Hill Club'S Blt Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
    1/2 head romaine lettuce, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
    1 c. diced onion
    28 oz. can tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 gal. chicken stock
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic
Preparation
    Saute bacon until brown.
    Remove bacon and saute onion and romaine lettuce in bacon drippings for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Pour off excess drippings.
    Add tomatoes, chicken stock, bay leaf, browned bacon and garlic.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for one hour.
