Chili Relleno Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 green pepper
    1 medium onion
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1 clove garlic
    salt
    pepper
    1 (7 oz.) can green chilies
    1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
    4 eggs
    1 c. half and half or evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. flour
    8 oz. tomato sauce
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and drain.
    Saute green pepper and onion. Combine beef, spices, onion, pepper and cheeses.
    Place chilies in bottom of greased 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch casserole.
    Place beef and cheese mixture on top of chilies.
    Combine eggs, half and half and flour; beat well.
    Pour over beef and cheese.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Pour tomato sauce over all and bake 10 minutes longer. Cut into squares to serve.
    Equally as good without the ground beef.
    Makes 9 servings.
