Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. sorghum
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick cook oats
1 c. coconut (flaked)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Combine all ingredients.
Drop by teaspoon on greased sheets about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
