Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 qt. popped corn
    peanuts or pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add soda and salt.
    Pour over popped corn.
    Mix well.
    Place in large roaster pan and place in 200\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Stir after 30 minutes.
    Pour out on wax paper to cool. Cool well.
    Store in airtight container.
