Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 to 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 gal. cider
    dash of nutmeg
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    2 to 3 sticks cinnamon
    1/2 lemon, sliced
Preparation
    Tie spices in cheesecloth.
    Add to cider, salt and sugar.
    Add sliced lemon.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove spices and serve.
