Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    4 c. sugar
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    1 (46 oz.) can orange juice (may use frozen concentrate)
    1 large bottle ginger ale
    1 qt. lime sherbet
Preparation
    Water and juices can be mixed a couple of days ahead.
    When ready to serve, add ginger ale. Put sherbet in ball or blend into punch.
