Italian Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. Italian style bread crumbs
    3/4 c. chopped onions
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, tomato sauce, eggs and salt.
    Mix just until ingredients are blended.
    In a shallow baking pan, shape meat mixture into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf.
    Bake until meat loaf is cooked through, about 45 to 50 minutes.
    Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese if desired and bake 5 minutes longer.
    Remove and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    Yield:
    6 portions.
