Candied Sweet Potatoes(Yields 8 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium size sweet potatoes (about 4 1/2 lb.)
1/2 c. + 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. orange juice (fresh or frozen)
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. pineapple juice (fresh or frozen)
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cook potatoes in boiling water until fork-tender.
Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice in a saucepan; stir in pineapple juice, syrup, orange juice and butter.
Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Arrange half of the potatoes in
a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.
Pour half of the sugar mixture over the potatoes.
Repeat in layers.
Sprinkle pecans over the top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
