Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. raw peanuts
    3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white Karo syrup
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk or half and half cream
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 capful red food coloring
Preparation
    Mix the sugar, Karo syrup, evaporated milk or half and half cream and oleo and cook for 8 minutes (or until holds a firm ball) after it reaches a rolling boil.
    Remove from heat and add the vanilla and food coloring.
    Beat until creamy. Add the peanuts. Drop on waxed paper into patties.
