Chicken And Noodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 chicken, cut up
3 carrots, sliced
2 onions, chopped
2 celery stalks with leaves, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 to 1 tsp. basil
Preparation

In large pot, cover chicken with water and cook until tender. Remove from pot and let cool slightly.
Add remaining ingredients to chicken stock, adding water if necessary.
Remove chicken from bones and chop in bite size pieces.
Return to pot with vegetables and simmer 30 minutes.
Add 5 to 6 cups egg noodles and cook just until noodles are done.
More water can be added for soup or less and can be served as a main dish.
