Vera'S Nantucket Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. pea beans
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. dry mustard
1 large onion
few thin slices mixed pork
Preparation

Wash beans; soak overnight.
Drain and rinse.
Combine beans with sugar and dry mustard and place in bean pot or loaf pan.
Cut onion into two pieces and push onion and slices of mixed pork down into beans.
Bake several hours at 325\u00b0.
Check occasionally.
Add small amounts of water, if necessary.
