Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. plus 1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar, divided
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, plus 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine, divided
    2 large eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a medium bowl, mix together flour and 2 teaspoons brown sugar.
    With a fork or pastry blender, cut in 1/2 cup butter or margarine until it resembles coarse crumbs.
    Pat into ungreased 8-inch square baking dish.
    Bake for 15 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
    Pour over baked layer and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Let cool and cut into 2 x 1 1/2-inch bars.
