Pecan Brittle(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    2 c. pecans
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and water; cook slowly until sugar dissolves and mixture forms a soft ball (236\u00b0), 15 to 20 minutes. Add pecans and salt; cook until mixture hardens slightly (295\u00b0), 20 to 30 minutes.
    Stir constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and soda.
    Stir.
    Pour evenly into well-greased, shallow pan.
    Cool partially.
    Turn when firm.
    When cold, break into pieces.
