Southern Smothered Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 strips bacon, cut up
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 1/2 lb. green beans
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook bacon, drain, save some fat and saute onion.
    Combine beans with 1/2 bacon, onion, water, salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook in crock-pot on low for 5 hours.
    Add vinegar, sugar and bacon the last hour.
    Makes 8 to 12 servings.
