Rancher'S Bean Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. link sausage
    2 to 3 onions, chopped
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    3 (16 oz.) cans pork and beans
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. thyme
    1 small bay leaf, crushed
    1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Brown sausage in large skillet.
    Remove from pan.
    Pour off drippings, reserving 1/4 cup.
    Brown onion and flour in reserved drippings.
    Add sausage and remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling.
    Pour into a 3-quart casserole dish or bean pot.
    Bake uncovered at 325\u00b0 for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
