Cheese Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. minced onion
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening or oil
Preparation

Sift together flour and sugar into mixing bowl. Stir in cheese and onion. Blend together egg, milk and oil. Add liquid all at once to flour mixture, stirring only until flour is moistened. Turn into greased 5 1/2 x 9 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven about 1 hour or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack several minutes before removing. Slice in large pieces and serve warm.
