Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. cocoa, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. sweet canned milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and egg yolks.
    Add cocoa and hot water mixture, then add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla and egg whites last.
    Bake in two greased 10-inch layer cake pans
    at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
