**Pfeffernuesse(Peppernuts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/8 lb. citron (optional)
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat egg whites and yolks separately, then together.
    Combine ingredients as in other cakes.
    Drop by teaspoons on greased tins. Bakes about 9 minutes.
