Kentucky Chocolate Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. pecan halves
1 (9-inch) pastry shell (unbaked)
3 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 c. butter
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Place pecans in pastry shell; set aside.
Combine chocolate and butter in medium saucepan; cook over low heat until melted, stirring until smooth.
Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour mixture over pecans. Bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted one inch from edge comes out clean.
