Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. bread, broken into small pieces
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Scald milk and butter together.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Pour mixture into buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Place baking dish in pan of hot water 1-inch deep.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 6.
    Serve plain or with syrup or cream.
