Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 strips bacon, diced
    1/2 onion, diced
    2 to 3 green onion stalks
    4 to 5 diced Russet potatoes
    2 to 3 stalks celery, diced
    1 carrot, thinly sliced
    2 Tbsp. chopped bell pepper
    1 small jar pimientos
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    4 to 6 drops Tabasco sauce
    1 pt. (2 c. ) half and half
    3 cans chopped or minced clams (with juice)
    chopped parsley
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    In a large kettle, cook bacon until crisp.
    Add onion, potatoes, celery, carrots, green pepper and garlic.
    Pour in water and add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
