1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Melt chocolate and butter; cool.
Stir together the flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
In mixer bowl, beat 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla.
Gradually add 3/4 cup of the sugar.
Beat until thick and lemon colored.
Add dry ingredients; beat until well combined.
Stir in chocolate mixture and nuts. Beat cheese and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
Spread half of the chocolate mixture in greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
Pour cheese mixture over.
Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Cool.
Cut into squares.
