Chili-Cheese Chicken In Black Bean Sauce - cooking recipe

4 large whole chicken breasts, halved
1 1/2 c. shredded Fontina or Monterey Jack cheese
1 c. fresh bread crumbs (about 3 slices)
1 can (4 oz.) green chilies, chopped
1/4 c. slivered almonds
1 1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350`.
Using a small sharp knife, make a deep pocket the length of each chicken piece by cutting between the tenderloin and top portion of meat.
Be careful not to cut entirely through the meat.
