Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 C. sugar
    1 C. white syrup
    1 lb. raw Virginia peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 2 quart pan mix together above ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat until brittle in cold water (like hard candy, spin a thread) or nuts start to turn dark.
    Turn fire out.
    Add soda and stir until foam almost settles.
    Pour out on greased pan; cool and break.
