Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (4 to 6)
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. bran flakes
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. broken nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Stir in bananas, buttermilk and vanilla.
    Add remaining ingredients and stir just until well combined.
    Spread batter into two greased and floured loaf pans (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/3-inch).
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until tests done with wooden pick (50 to 60 minutes).
    Remove from pans and cool on wire rack.
    Yields 2 loaves.
