Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. squash
    1 medium onion
    1 c. bread crumbs
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 stick butter
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut squash in slices.
    Put in pan with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 stick butter.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook until tender and drain.
    Mix bread crumbs, beaten egg and sugar, then add to cooked squash.
    Pour into baking dish.
    Cover top with cheese. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until cheese melts.
