Crescent Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 egg, beaten
4 c. flour
Preparation

Melt shortening, sugar and salt in boiling water.
Cool until lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Combine shortening and yeast mixture with beaten egg and stir in flour.
Knead.
Let rise until doubled.
Punch down and refrigerate for 2 hours. Divide dough in half.
Roll out into 12-inch circles.
Cut each into 8 pieces.
Form crescents by rolling from the rim to point. Place on cookie sheets and let rise.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until well browned.
