Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. water
    2 sq. chocolate, melted
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 cap vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs.
    Mix water and flour, alternating.
    In the last amount of flour, add soda and baking powder and a pinch of salt.
    Chocolate should be mixed in last. Mix well and add a capful of vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes in a 13 x 9-inch pan or about 25 to 35 minutes for layer cake.
