Date Toffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. pitted dates
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. ground oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. bread flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 pkg. brown sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    Cook the dates, water, sugar and lemon juice to a thick paste. Cool.
    Mix the remaining ingredients together.
    Place half of oatmeal crumbs in a 9 x 12-inch pan, top with date mixture.
    Put balance of oatmeal crumbs on top.
