Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 can creamed corn
    1 small onion
    1 to 1 1/2 c. milk or half and half
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dice bacon and fry in a saucepan until golden brown.
    Remove from grease with slotted spoon.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Pour off all fat except 1 tablespoon.
    Chop the onion fine and saute in bacon fat until limp.
    Reduce heat and add corn and enough milk to make desired consistency.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Heat, but do not boil.
    Serve in soup bowls with bacon pieces sprinkled on top.
