Chocolate Chip Caramel Brownies(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk (skim)
    1/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    4 oz. (about 1/2 c.) liquid egg substitute
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    12 caramels
    1 Tbsp. evaporated skim milk
Preparation
    Heat 1 cup chips, sugar, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, applesauce and margarine in a large heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring until chips are melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in egg substitute.
    Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, vanilla and remaining chips.
    Spread into 13 x 9-inch pan.
    (Spray with nonstick cooking spray.)
