Homestyle Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    46 oz. can tomato juice
    2 (13 oz.) cans peeled tomatoes
    1 small cabbage, diced
    1 box frozen, sliced okra
    1 box frozen baby lima beans
    2 to 3 lb. potatoes, diced
    2 to 4 slices fatback
    1 tsp. salt or to taste
    pepper (optional)
    1 can diced beef chunks (optional)
Preparation
    In a large stockpot, add tomato juice, peeled tomatoes and fatback.
    Bring to a boil for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add cabbage and okra.
    Boil for 10 minutes.
    Add lima beans and potatoes.
    Boil for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to medium and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
    Makes 8 to 10 two cup servings.
