Plum Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. plums (wild plums are delicious)
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 1/4 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Wash plums; cover with water and bring to a boil.
    Drain. Cover with water.
    Boil until tender; drain and mash fine.
    Add sugar and other ingredients and cook until thick.
    Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
