Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    6 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Scald the milk.
    Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Stir milk gradually into egg mixture.
    Pour into prepared 9-inch pie shell.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake about 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
    Cool before serving.
