Spareribs With Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. pork spareribs
    2 medium carrots, shredded
    1 unpeeled apple, finely chopped
    3 1/2 c. sauerkraut
    2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Season ribs with salt and pepper.
    Combine kraut, carrots, tomato juice, brown sugar, caraway seed and apple.
    Place together kraut mixture and ribs in Dutch oven.
    Bake, covered, in 350\u00b0 oven for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours or until ribs are done.
    Goes well with baked sweet potatoes.
    Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
