Jalapeno Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. canned cream-style corn
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. melted shortening or bacon drippings
1 c. grated Longhorn cheese
1/4 to 1/2 c. canned jalapeno peppers, drained, seeded and chopped fine
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Stir cornmeal, salt and soda together. Combine corn, eggs, buttermilk and shortening and mix with dry ingredients.
