Grandma'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in water
    1/2 Tbsp. ginger
    1 egg, beaten lightly (added last)
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients. Pour in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake in a very slow oven at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake tester inserted in center comes clean.
    Serve warm and, if desired, with whipped cream or applesauce.
