Chalupa - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
shortening
2 lb. hamburger
2 cans refried beans
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
grated Cheddar cheese
chopped lettuce
flour tortillas
Preparation
-
Melt some shortening in a small frying pan.
Slit flour tortillas in the center with a paring knife and about 5 times around the outside edge to keep from curling. Fry on each side until just golden brown.
Brown the hamburger.
Add beans, taco seasoning, tomato sauce and salt.
Place a tortilla shell on a plate and cover with some meat mixture, sprinkle on the cheese and lettuce.
Then pass the taco sauce.
Keep the extra shells in a plastic bag to use until gone.
Also, keep the leftover grease in a jar to use next time.
