Ingredients

1/2 c. salt
1 c. water
1 qt. vinegar
okra
celery seed
dill seed
garlic cloves
jalapeno peppers
Preparation

Bring salt, water and vinegar to boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour over okra and other ingredients in jars and seal. Put in bottom of each jar:
1/2 teaspoon celery seed, 1 teaspoon dill seed, 1 clove garlic and 1 small hot pepper pod (I use jalapeno and split up the sides halfway).
Makes 5 pints.
