Granny'S Ham Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ham or picnic (smoked and sugar cured)
    2 qt. water
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. oil
    3/4 c. milk
    3 to 4 boiled eggs, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil ham in water until very tender.
    Remove from broth.
    Add enough water to make 2 quarts and bring to a boil.
    Add dumplings. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add diced ham, eggs, salt and pepper. Warms you up on a cold night.
