Louisiana Yam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. cooking oil
4 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
2 c. yams, mashed
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift flour, soda, cloves, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Combine sugar and oil in a bowl.
Mix well.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla, dry ingredients, yams and nuts.
Bake in tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
